Positive COVID 19 - Absence marked as COVID only if there is a confirmation report from a lab or statement from a health care provider that the student is positive for COVID. Otherwise, it is an illness. If a student has confirmed COVID, they are to stay at home five days to isolate from onset of symptoms (day 0) or date of positive test (day 0) if no symptoms. Return on day six if they have been fever free for 24 hours and symptoms are improving. Recommend to wear a mask indoors the following five days.
Exposure to COVID 19 - No longer need to quarantine. Watch for symptoms (fever greater than 100.4, cough, shortness of breath, etc..) Recommend to wear a mask for the following ten days indoors (day 0 is the last date of exposure).
