Welcome to Ms. Eidt's School Counseling Website!

Thank you for visiting my website! I am the School Counselor at Krout and Noble for 3rd-5th grade students. I also work with, Kennedy, the wonderful school therapy dog pictured above.
I plan to add many resources to this page including social-emotional resources along with fun content and ideas for things to do. I will organize these resources into sections based on different topics and more content will be added as the days go on.
If you would like to contact me please email me at trisha_eidt@tiffincityschools.org and I will respond during regular school hours (8:00am-3:30pm). I want to help you as best as I can during this time of uncertainty so please explore the resources on this page and contact me as needed.
During this time away from school you may experience some stress and worry which is very normal. Here is an activity that I enjoy doing with students as a reminder of what we can and cannot control. Remembering what we can and cannot control can make children (and adults!) feel better as we try to do the best we can in each moment.
If you have a spare piece of paper go ahead and outline your hand labeling the inside of your hand "in my control" and labeling the space outside of your hand as "out of my control"
Examples of things in my control: my behavior, my thoughts, the words I choose to say, the words I choose to keep to myself, the way I react to others
Examples of things out of my control: Coronavirus, doing school from home, my parent's job, the weather, my sibling's reactions
I hope this activity made you feel a little better! Please continue to take a mindful minute throughout your day as needed. More mindfulness resources will be posted soon!
